Soccer for Success

Founded by the U.S. Soccer Foundation, the Soccer for Success program is a transformative and complementary after-school initiative that leverages the power of soccer to address health disparities and reduce juvenile delinquency among children. In 2011, Our Saviour Center partnered with the U.S. Soccer Foundation to inaugurate the El Monte Soccer for Success Program. Since that time, we have been committed to promoting healthy lifestyles, fitness, and mentorship for the youth of El Monte.

In 2022, our esteemed partners at the El Monte City School District provided us with the opportunity to expand our program to encompass all 14 schools within the district. This initiative now operates for ten months each year, serving students in grades one through eight. Each participant receives over 100 hours of exercise and soccer education, with a strong emphasis on wellness, healthy habits, teamwork, and essential life skills.
